ContiSportContact 5 SUV recommended by German magazine

By

The ContiSportContact 5 SUV has been given the “Recommended” seal by the specialist editors at German magazine, Auto Zeitung Allrad.

The specialists from Cologne evaluated the SUV road tyres in size 235/50 R 18 V, and the test vehicle was a VW Tiguan. “The Conti exhibited the shortest braking distances and lowest rolling resistance and offered excellent driving safety,” they commented. “The SportContact 5 SUV is an outstanding all-rounder.” Even on gravel and mud, the tires from the development department in Hanover gave a “strong performance”.

The ContiSportContact 5 SUV is a road tire for sporty SUVs and 4×4 vehicles with powerful engines. The tire model can be fitted on numerous vehicles from European, American and Asian manufacturers. Continental produces the SUV tire in diameters of between 18 and 22 inches, widths of 235 to 275 mm, and approved for speeds between 210 km/h (“H”) and 300 km/h (“Y”). Of the six tires tested, five models were awarded the editorial team’s recommendation, and the ContiSportContact 5 SUV came second in the evaluation.
